Auction Brings Out
“Art”istic Side in All
A hundred guests browsed the beautiful array of art on display at the
Warrior Community Center on September 15. This Friday night affair
opened with an art preview, buffet and social hour.
After selecting which items they wished to bid on, those in attendance
were treated to the auction patter of Scott Sedgwick , the Artsouth
productions auctioneer. No newbie to the Fort Polk crowd, Scott helped
bring artist, art work and buyer together as the sales total marched
upward.
As our annual operational fundraiser, a portion of the proceeds will go
into the OSC operational fund to help pay for regular expenses and
events throughout the year. The next big fundraiser for the club is the
Arts & Crafts Fair on October 21. Please attend and help support the
needs and activities of the Officers’ Spouses’ Club.
